After the Norman conquest in 1066, William the Conqueror, an avid stag hunter, brought the phrase “Tya Hillaut” shouted when a deer was discovered. The term evolved to its English pronunciation, but still implies the quarry is viewed and the chase begins.
The Tally Ho is on the third floor of the Main House. A brick chimney separates the main bedroom and turret sitting area from the private bath and is pleasingly complimented by the white and cream colors. The queen bed with draped headboard faces the turret sitting area with its fainting chair and southerly-facing three windows and the gas fireplace.
The private bath, in greens and black, has a spa shower, with dressing room and three louvered shuttered windows complete the light and area atmosphere of the room.
