“It’s a fine fox chase, my boys” George Washington yelled to his troops as they chased the Redcoats at the Battle of Princeton in 1777. Between 1773 through 1781, it is well documented that this future president often journeyed right past, and stopped, at Slade’s Inn in his travels between Mt. Vernon and Philadelphia.
The Chase is a large room on the first floor of the Carriage House and is decorated with soothing green, rattan, and tropical florals. The king bed is centered under a rattan fan on the 9 foot ceiling, and the oversized reading chair compliments the décor of this room. A flat screen TV over the gas fireplace completes the room.
The large private bathroom is dominated by the oversized, two person whirlpool tub with its waterfall fill feature. A separate spa shower reflects the sparkle of the southern and western sun through the two stained glass windows over the tub.
Ahhh!...The Chase…the perfect place to relax after the hectic chase of your travels! |
